Dropped Out: Nebraska (#16), South Florida (#17).
Here is a bit of reasoning to the ballot:
- Clearly Alabama is the #1 to me. They have played the tougher schedule of the top 3, and have looked the part. That doesn't mean that I think Bama would beat both Texas and Florida right now, but they haven't looked as vulnerable as the other two.
- Looking at the ballot and you can see something very clearly- win and you move up. Lose and you move down. Plain and simple this week.
- I dropped the Irish 7 spots to #22. If they would have won, I can tell you that I planned on putting them 4th. Quite a bit of difference. After winning the homer award for the second time this season, I though I might still be in the running with the Irish at #22, but I think some of the voters will give a little more credit where credit is due, and if I do get it a third time this week- I really don't care.
- I really don't like having Boise State, TCU, and Cincinnati ranked in the top 7, but they keep winning.
