chucknorrisDid you people feel that humidity outside? Holy shit! I am pretty sure my nutsack in permanantly attached to my thigh after just one hour outside. Luckily, I was feeling a little lazy today and mainly stayed indoors. Because of all that nonsense, I was able to do some "websurf" catchup.

There really is a lot of different stuff going on because of how close the season is to finally being here. The following post is a 50/50 piece. Although this is a Random Randomnes, it has elements of a Link-O-Rama too.

It just sounds wild doesn't it? As wild as Chuck Norris choking out an eight year old during a Pampered Chef party? You bet your sweet ninja ass...

mike mayockWhy is NBC always called, "Notre Dame's Network."? Seriously. Do they ever do anything with Notre Dame's best interest in mind? No. Of course not. Recently, it was announced that Mike Mayock would be taking over the color commentator duties for Notre Dame games on NBC, left behind by Pat Haden when Haden bolted to become the AD for his old school, U$C.

To be honest, I am more than disappointed. I thought a couple of changes could have been made to help the broadcast. We just got rid of a "NFL" type coach. Why is NBC slapping us on our cocks with a NFL guy in the booth (even though he is more of a Draft guy which is close to college stuff)? I was really hoping they would be able to grab Spielman or Alberts for the job. Seriously.

Really though, the biggest disappointment isn't that Mayock is a former BC guy or has anything to do with Mayock at all, it's that they didn't replace Ice Pricess Lana Tom Hammond. The network has to know that no one likes him...right? It's been downhill for 17 years, why stop now...

Fall camp starts on Friday bitches!!!! It's that time of year- HELLS YEAH! Time for these kids to get back to work and get their kick-ass on. Friday is more of the "media day" type of thing, and you can watch the LIVE press conferences with Kelly, Molnar, and Diaco exclusively on Subway Domer UND.com.

Saturday is when the practices start for the team. Here is where we last left them:

Tom Lemming is sounding a little dysfunctional. In this podcast thing with the South Bend Tribune he talks Irish recruiting. Most of what he is saying is OK, but it is when he gets into the numbers game with scholarships. He says that ND could still take up to 25 and doesn't see the value of bringing back 5th year guys if you have a good season. I have the opposite philosophy, but hey- what do I know?

Speaking of recruiting in 2012... Here is a video of QB prospect Maty Mauk. The name is familiar because of his older brother Ben who starred at Cincinnati. Maty is considered to be the better player (confirmed by Ben) and has been putting up ungodly numbers since his freshman year. Notre Dame is recruiting him, and I really hope that they can land this kid. He is a little small, but he sweats quarterbacking.

Being a leader means not eating fudge. Dayne Crist is getting a lot of good publicity for being "St. Dayne" as of late. His teamates are looking to him as leader both on and off the field. Here is a sign of his leadership that might have been overlooked:

That Tweet got one of his WR's thinking... hopefully Goodman stands by his leader:

Steve Filer is an athletic freek of nature. The following video may not seem to impressive, but if you tried it- you would knock out most of your teeth and would blow out a knee. Remember, Filer did jump straight out of a pool this summer as well.

So... you thought the Freekbass, "We Are ND" video was pretty bad. Well then... you haven't partied in the UGA. OK, Freekbass is still Satan, but the following video is just another example of "What in the hell were they thinking?"

Texas! You crazy motherfuckers!!! It's being spread like wildfire. Notre Dame and Texas are close to setting up a series of games. This is about as good of a piece of scheduling news as irish fans can get. Seriously- these are the type of games that keep ND in the national picture... legitimately.

Aaaannnnndddd.... if Chip Brown is Tweeting it, than you know this pig has rod in its ass:

Yes, www. orangebloods.com is reporting a home-and-home between Texas and Notre Dame beginning in 2015 is "very close."less than a minute ago via TweetDeck

Goin' on a Mormon Mission, wishin' upon a star. Chris Badger is leaving Notre Dame for 2 years to go on a Mormon mission. You already know that. What you didn't know, was that his teammates are supporting him as he heads to... Ecuador. Google it.
