Welcome to the late evening edition of Bagpipe Monday on Subway Domer. After all of the conference talk, it is starting to really feel like the offseason with little bits of news coming out daily- instead of apocalyptic Tweets from Chip Brown.
Speaking of Twitter- I'm addicted. It is absolutely the best way to keep up with the things that you care about (College Football and MLB for me) without the guilt of confirming some friend whore on Facebook. I have been meaning to post some of the better Tweets that I have read- but just haven't been getting around to it... ya know...
Anyways, I saw this Tweet from Notre Dame CB, Gary Gray:
Work outs went extremely well today... Everyone has bought in to what we are trying to accomplish here.
That's good news, but it's something we have heard before. Being "all in," is something that is preached, discussed, and pushed by new coaches- or ones on a hot seat.
However, when it comes from a player, it has a little more meaning to it, especially when it isn't on a media day- or in front of a reporter. Gary Gray honestly believes that the entire team is buying into the new program, and so do I. I'll take his word for it in June, rather then what is said by others in August. I'm not sure why, but it just seems more real this time. (More real, lol).
With that, enjoy the pipes and keep voting in the poll on the right. It gets a week extension after some love from Irish Envy.
