bagpipe monday

Welcome, welcome, welcome once again to the ongoing madness of Bagpipe Monday on Subway Domer. Our new format for the offseason is turning out to be one of The Brawling Hibernian's better ideas (This coming from a guy who thought shaving Rey Maualuga'a butt hair and gluing it to a voodoo doll he got from a priestess in New Orleans while messed up on Absinthe would grant the Irish a guaranteed victory over U$C in 2008). Thanks to you, our readers, for getting involved and joining the debate. Remember, if you send an email with a response to the debate that is at least a couple of decent paragraphs, and it gets published on Subway Domer... you will receive an AWESOME Subway Domer Can Cooler (degrees of awesomeness will vary).

Last week, we asked you about the turf and asked what kind of field you wanted to see. Over 50% of you thought it was perfect exactly how it is right now. The Brawling Hibernian got poetic and was in the same camp as many of you as he elected to go with 100% pure grass. KGG gently let you down with some tact as he opted for Fieldturf. Our reader (John) submission went the Fieldturf route as did your Noble and Powerful Emperor, The Subway Domer. Good show everyone!

I do have to mention someone else as well; Rocket89 (Eric Murtaugh). This guy is all over the Turf. he has a host of comments on the posts from last week as well as this well pieced article he published on Bleacher Report. Rocket89, your passion of turf has earned you a crisp cocktail- which I will now accept on your behalf. Nice.

On to this week's Master Debater topic...

One of the great things about going to a Notre Dame game in South Bend is the Marching band. As a college football fan, something inside me snaps when I hear the Marching Band. I'm ready to kill- nay destroy the enemy. I have been known to be moved to tears during a song or two. Sometime those tears were out of  pure rage for our opponent, sometimes it was because of some other kind of "emotion," running through my veins. Whatever the case may be... I still get a little jacked up in a place that is turning more and more into Disney Midwest, as opposed to the crusader battlegrounds that I once knew.

So, what song from the Oldest Band in the Land moves you? What song do you hold close to your Blue and Gold Heart? What song sparks that "something" inside you? What song do you want to hear the most?

So let's hear it Irish fans (and keep Freekbass in the fucking well with the lotion in a basket). What's your mixtape look like...  what are you leading off with?

Don't forget to vote in the poll on the right and enjoy the pipes... TRIPLE FEATURE?!!!! In honor of the Band, I give you three performances of the Marching Band outside of Notre Dame Stadium. Break something...
