Welcome back to another edition of Bagpipe Monday! Last week, we kicked off our summer series, "Master Debaters." Basically, each week from now until the end of July, Subway Domer will provide itself a question regarding Notre Dame Football or College Football, and then debate it a wee bit.
The first topic of debate was all about our rivalries. In the poll conducted, almost 80% of our readers put U$C as the biggest and baddest ND rival around. KGG and The Subway Domer agreed with those opinions and wrote their pieces HERE and HERE. Around 18% took Michigan as did our fearless comrade, The Brawling Hibernian in this PIECE.
And just to prove that I am not totally full of shit, I have a little something for you...
I asked our loyal readers to weigh in on these debates and offered a bounty of (1) Subway Domer Can Cooler of Awesomeness to anyone who sent me a couple paragraphs stating their opinion in the debate. I didn't quite get that. Although we had some very good comments on this topic, I only received a few emails with an opinion and both were fairly short. Those should be reserved for the comment section and responses that are at least a couple of paragraphs are the ones that will be used for their own post.
However, I will bend the rule just this once and give you Jake's submission,
It's got to be USC I've been taught to hate them since 92....I have to say I hate USC and more respect Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, Stanford, BC...although it's not considered a rivalry I hate PSU as much as USC but that's not considered a rivalry I guess.
Thanks for the email, Jake and I hope you use your Can Cooler wisely. On to this week...
This weeks debate gets down and dirty:
"What kind of field would you like to see used in Notre Dame Stadium?" Keep the grass? Go with Fieldturf? Should there be a logo midfield? Tell us your favorite option, and include all the details. Remember to vote in the poll, submit comments, and shoot us an email via the Contact tab at the top.
As always... Enjoy the Pipes!!!
