I don't know for sure is probably the appropriate answer. I saw this picture with what was basically the same question surrounding it; Is this it?
If it is, the green facemask is very telling about the color of jersey the Irish will wear: white with green lettering. At least that's the logical conclusion. Maybe they plan on wearing green jerseys and lose a TO. Probably not, but how should I know. I haven't seen the exact jerseys yet.
So, there it is- I think. Of course, it could be some high school helmet or a dominant photoshop image. At any rate, I like it. Spice that thing up mang!
i think the helmet is badass, nothing wrong with wearing it 1 time a decade or 1 time a year against a rival, i like it!
What up ya'll?! First time post... Im all about a little variety when it comes to unis. I love me some Golden Helmets but putting a shamrock on them for a throwback game? Hell yeah! BTW, any confirmation on the Dan Wenger transfer news to Florida?
Even if this isn't the helmet, I think it's safe to say that Notre Dame will not be wearin the "Atomic Shamrock" as penned by Matt Hinton of Yahoo Sports. Just a hunch. BTW... No matter what we wear, it will be better than Michigans.
@TexicanDomer Glad to have you on board! We welcome us to you. Definitely, one game a year we should have a big ass shamrock on the helmet.
As far as the Wenger transfer... It is a definite. He is a Florida Gator. Good luck to him.
@ToddHenson Would you settle for these?:
@ToddHenson Mixing it up is key. We play 12 games a year. 10 games can be the normal traditional uniform. 2 games can be "potpourri." The bowl game should be traditional with names on the back. Problem solved for everyone. The traditionalist zealots cam suck a nut. Traditionally, ND only played 10 games. My brain is HUGE!
