Notre Dame and Adidas released pictures and a video of what the 2013 Shamrock Series Uniforms will look like. This isn't much of a review, but IRISH STORM TROOPER is the common theme for what is being said. I love them. They look much cleaner than last years version, and I'm really happy with ND choosing the white unis.
The number font is the same as last year, and the simplistic design of a shamrock outline on the helmet. The shamrock decal is filled with a more solid gold to contrast the texture gold look of the helmet. The green used is a Kelly green and looks great against the white. If there one thing that I am not 100% in love with, it's the green facemask. I don't hate it, and I don't know what else they would do, given everything else going on, but I'm not as in love with it as I am the rest of the uniform.
I'm happy. Click the "Read More" for more pictures of the uniform:
They're alright. I was expecting something a lot flashier. The look is nice but it seems like it is missing something. Or am I missing something?
@TheSubwayDomer I dig them. Like them a lot & I'm sure the players like them too, which is what really matters.
These are so FRESH! I love the all white look. Really classy stuff going on here. There's no way all those "traditionalists" can get too pissed about these. I liked ast years a lot, but this beats it. Must be the helmet design that set it above 2012.
Here's a review from @lluckoftheirish that y'all should watch:
@PaddyEscobar I think you're missing something. The unis are actually quite detailed, but the white gives it that basic look. I think they're phenomenal.
@InTheBleachers Exactly. It's a pretty clean look. I could go shopping, to church, or to a hog roast in something like that. Versatile.
